Program Description

For over 200 years, the Arc de Triomphe has stood at the heart of one of Paris's most iconic locations. Commissioned by Napoleon, this monumental landmark not only commemorates important moments in French history but also offers a unique vantage point where some of the city's most famous avenues converge.

From the observation deck, located approximately 50 metres above ground, you can admire the panorama of the French capital. From here, the twelve grand avenues radiating from Place Charles de Gaulle create one of Paris's most distinctive urban layouts.

At the foot of the monument lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, an important memorial dedicated to those who lost their lives during the First World War. Every evening, the Eternal Flame is rekindled in a moving ceremony that has become a lasting symbol of remembrance and respect.

The Arc de Triomphe combines impressive architecture, rich history and a remarkable location in the heart of Paris. A visit to its observation deck offers the opportunity to admire the city's skyline while discovering one of France's most iconic landmarks.
