Morning departure from hotels to the Serra do Cume viewpoint, which offers views of the island’s characteristic “patchwork” landscape. Next, drive to the volcanic hill Serra do Facho with panoramic views of Praia da Vitória. On the way to Angra do Heroísmo, stop at the lava pools in Porto Martins and at São Sebastião, home to one of the oldest churches in the Azores. Lunch in Angra do Heroísmo, a city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the meal, visit Monte Brasil with views over the city. The program also includes a visit to the fumaroles at Furnas do Enxofre. The next stop is Biscoitos, with a visit to the Wine Museum and the natural pools formed among volcanic rocks. On the way back, stops at Lagoa do Negro, Lagoa das Patas, and the Cinco Ribeiras cheese factory (subject to availability). Finally, visit a local embroidery workshop. Return to hotels.
